Chess Club

In the heart of our community, local libraries and schools have opened their doors to a free chess program, fostering a welcoming environment for both beginner and intermediate players alike. In the library, kids gather in the library's spacious reading room, eager to engage in friendly matches and learn from one another. The program is led by experienced chess players who volunteer their time to provide guidance, instruction, and mentorship. As a testament to its success, the program has attracted a diverse group of participants, ranging from young children to adults, all united by their shared love for the game. The free community chess program not only offers a recreational activity but also contributes to cognitive development, critical thinking skills, and social interaction among participants.

The program is intended to span the duration of a traditional academic year, although it can be adapted to meet the specific requirements of participating organizations and families. The program is also offered as an online course as well.

The program also encompasses additional developmental areas, including social skills, physical health, leadership qualities, and hygiene.
